Percussion Instruments

The drum is a member of the percussion group of musical instruments. Drum consists of at least one membrane, but to make a sound you need a drumstick. You can also use your hands to play it. In the past drums have been used for communication and in the army, too.

Keyboard instruments

   The piano is one of the most popular instruments in the world.  Some of his parts are a lid, a keyboard, strings and pedals. It is also very expensive and very heavy.


      The organ is a keyboard instrument and to play it you have to use your hands or your feet. It is relatively old musical instrument and it is often found in cathedrals. The world’s largest instrument is an organ in a cave in the USA.

Brass Instruments

French Horn 

The French Horn is often played with the right hand inside the bell. It is also said to be the most difficult instrument to play.

Trumpet 

The trumpet plays high brassy notes. An optional mute can make the trumpet sound completely different. Many great jazz players have been trumpet players.

Tuba 

The tuba is the lowest instrument in the whole brass section. The tuba is used a lot in marches and other compositions where it is important to have a strong beat.

Trombone 

The trombone has the greatest note range out of all the brass because of its slide. The ‘bone is an essential part of any big band group.
